This was a Social Housing development for Túath Housing and MHI’s second project for a housing association. This is a 102 home development utilizing 6 different house types.
This project was carried out in three stages. 29 homes were started in April 2017 with handover and occupation by December 2017. An additional 39 homes were started in February 2018 with handover and occupation by Summer 2018 and a further 43 homes started in Summer 2018 with handover and occupation by end 2018.

Challenge:
On previous projects to date, MHI worked to inherited client designs. This new project through planning compliance, allowed MHI to assist more closely on the layout design. By introducing a front to back split instead of left to right split, MHI reduced the number of modules needed from 3 to 2.
Results:
The economy of scale and build introduced by the new methodology meant that MHI could deliver a more cost-effective product in a more efficient way.
